Did you know that Earth Day 2020 is the 50th anniversary of this global event? That’s 50 years of coming together and asking ourselves, how is our planet? And what can we do?
The good news is we can do a lot, even more so now than in 1970 with new opportunities that have emerged to help us individually and collectively make a greater positive impact on the health of our planet. Food. Water. Energy. Transportation. Recycling and reusing. And much, much more. Each of us can forge our own paths as planetary stewards, but together we can keep doing even more to protect this fragile yet resilient world we call home.
And guess what? Every year on Earth Day, one billion people mobilize in more than 190 countries to make a difference. That’s a lot of focused energy. The official Earth Day website lists eight categories of ways all of us can take action.
We can do this. In fact, we must do this.
