Arepas with Cutting Board Shreds

Ingredients

  • 1 Arepa, (store bought or substitute with a pita)
  • 1 Tsp Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Red Onions, (Diced)
  • 1/4 Cup Tomatoes, (Diced)
  • 1/4 Cup black beans
  • 1/2 avocado, (Sliced)
  • 1/2 Cup Daiya Pepperjack Cutting Board Shreds

Instructions

In large stovetop pan, heat butter until melted. Cook arepa on for 30 seconds on both sides until warm.

Fill the inside of the arepa – layer black beans, avocado, onions and tomatoes. Top with Pepperjack Style Shreds.

Set toaster oven or broiler to “low”. Toast arepa until the cheese is melted and the arepa is crispy.

Let cool. Enjoy!
