Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, room temperature
  • 227g Daiya Plain Cream Cheeze Style Spread
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • The Perfect Chocolate Frosting
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet Chocolate, chopped
  • 227g Daiya Plain Cream Cheeze Style Spread
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter (not spread)
  • 1 1/2 to 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsps Vanilla Extract
  • 2 to 4 tbsps oat milk
  • Vegan Lemon Frosting
  • 1/2 cup vegan butter, room temperature
  • 227g Daiya Plain Cream Cheeze Style Spread
  • 1 1/2 tbsps lemon zest
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

Vanilla Cream Cheeze Frosting

In a large mixing bowl, beat the slightly softened vegan butter and beat with a mixer at medium speed until creamy and smooth.

Add cream cheeze to the bowl and beat for 30 seconds to 1 minute to combine with the butter. Do not overbeat, or your frosting may be too runny. Beat in the vanilla to combine.

With the mixer on low, gradually add the powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, until thick and spreadable.

If the frosting seems too soft and runny, chill the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes. Take it out, stir, and put it back in the freezer for another 15 minutes if needed, until it firms up.

The Perfect Chocolate Frosting

Melt chocolate on a double boiler or in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water. Stir until smooth and set aside.

Using a mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the cream cheeze on low speed until soft.

Add the butter and cocoa powder and mix until combined. Add vanilla and milk.

Add one cup of sugar at a time until fully incorporated. Add the melted chocolate and set mixer to medium-low speed until smooth and creamy.

For a firmer frosting, add powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time until desired texture.

Vegan Lemon Frosting

In a large mixing bowl, add the slightly softened butter and beat with a mixer on medium-low speed until creamy and smooth.

Add the cream cheeze to the bowl and beat for 30 seconds to 1 minute until combined with the butter. Do not overbeat, or your frosting may be too runny.

Add the lemon zest and mix until combined. Turn the mixer to low and gradually add the powdered sugar one cup at a time, until thick and spreadable.

If the glaze seems too soft and runny for spreading, chill the bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes. Take it out, stir, and put it back in the freezer for another 15 minutes if needed, until it firms up.
