Roasted Jalapeño & Garlic Spread
On a hot pan set to medium heat, roast the jalapeño and garlic cloves until golden brown. Take the garlic out before it burns and set aside. Continue to roast the jalapeño until blistered and charred.
Let jalapeño cool in a bowl loosely covered with a lid. Peel the jalapeño and remove the seeds and veins with the help of a sharp knife.
Add jalapeño and all other ingredients to a food processor and blend until smooth.
Transfer spread to a container and keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Fig & Balsamic Spread
Toast the pumpkin seeds in a pan over medium-low heat for 40 seconds or until crispy. Set aside to cool.
Using a food processor, blend the cream cheeze and sugar for about 15 seconds.
Add the diced dry figs and pumpkin seeds, and process until smooth.
Transfer spread into a bowl. Drizzle with the balsamic reduction and refrigerate until ready to serve.
