The Continuous Improvement Engineer works closely with Plant Operations and Supply Chain in assessing, leading and implementing improvements in accordance with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing principles. Additionally, they will work cross functionally with Finance, Quality and R&D to identify improvements in quality, efficiencies, operational costs reduction and waste elimination. Key skills for this role are problem-solving with a keen interest in working collaboratively to develop new processes, improve current ones and reduce/eliminate waste.
Our People & Culture (HR) Manager acts as a true business partner for the Corporate client groups including Marketing, Sales, R&D, Finance, IT, QA, and Supply Chain. Both strategic and hands-on, the People & Culture Manager executes our people initiatives with excellence across the areas of talent management, culture & engagement, compensation & benefits and training and development. Working closely with both the P&C team and their business leaders, acts as a strategic though partner and advisor to elevate the employee experience. This position reports to the VP, People & Culture and works closely with the People & Culture Team and other departments.
The QC Laboratory Technician is responsible for allergen, microbiology and organoleptic testing on raw materials and finished products as well as QC tasks in the plant. The technician is also responsible for ensuring the highest level of food safety standards and compliance, and to support the continuous operation of production where necessary.
This position is a maternity leave replacement (12 months), with a possibility of extension.
The Quality Control Technician ensures that Daiya’s food safety and quality standards are enforced and maintained at all stages of the manufacturing processes through routine quality monitoring, sampling and testing.
This will be an eight (8) month contract.
Reporting to the Director, R&D, the Sensory & Product Guidance Manager will lead the S&PG team to proactively develop and implement company-wide sensory evaluation programs. This successful candidate will be the sensory subject matter expert as it relates to innovation, quality systems, consumer research and continuous improvement. This position requires a hands-on participatory approach with strong project management and people leadership skills. The S&PG Manger will work closely with R&D, Marketing, Packaging, QA and Manufacturing to drive business success. The S&PG manager will drive the development and implementation of new/improved sensory & consumer research capabilities to further expand the department toolbox of methods.
An exciting and challenging position exists as a Business Development and Planning Manager at our head office in Burnaby, BC. Reporting to the VP Business Development and Planning the selected individual will play a key role in the development and market execution of Daiya’s Strategic Growth Plan. This position requires a Sales Professional with cross functional experience in one of the following – Sales Planning and Strategy, Marketing and/or Shopper Marketing. As a key member within the newly created Business Development Team the Manager is accountable for leading and developing specific sales goals, driving the sales planning process, channel optimization, product pricing, shopper marketing deployment and ensuring the sales team is armed to execute the Daiya portfolio with excellence.

The National Account Manager, Foodservice works closely with the Director of Foodservice to promote and sell Daiya’s product offerings to national chains, industrial and ingredient customers across the Foodservice spectrum in North America. This role will be based in a major U.S. metro-market and will be pivotal in managing, developing, and growing Daiya sales with key national accounts, and be instrumental in building Daiya’s presence in North American Foodservice.
