The Red Seal Certified Industrial Electrician must possess fundamental and specialized knowledge and skills related to the installation and maintenance of electrical devices and components found in industrial settings. The Industrial Electrician inspects, installs, troubleshoots, repairs and services (includes calibration and preventive/predictive maintenance) electrical equipment such as motors, generators, pumps, heavy duty machines, environmental regulating systems, communication systems; and associated electrical and electronic controls for food production.
The Industrial Electrician is also responsible for working together with the rest of the maintenance team to complete Work Orders and follow a Preventive Maintenance Program. This position may require shift hours.
The Journeyman Industrial Millwright must possess fundamental and specialized knowledge and skills related to troubleshooting and providing preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating equipment change-over.
The Millwright is responsible for working together with the rest of the maintenance team to complete new projects, work orders and follow a Preventive Maintenance Program. This position requires shiftwork (rotating once a month).
Our Power Engineer plays an important role on our Maintenance team with troubleshooting and providing preventative and corrective maintenance support to production lines and facilitating equipment change-over. The Power Engineer will operate, maintain and manage the equipment in the plant. The Power Engineer plays a key role in ensuring the facility runs at optimal production levels with minimal downtime. The role works in the areas of: pressurized systems, boilers, thermal engineering, ammonia systems, fluid mechanics, technical and basic instrumentation and industrial electronics. The Power Engineer is responsible for working together with the rest of the Maintenance team to complete new projects, work orders and follow a Preventive Maintenance Program.
The Operations Coordinator will play a key role in the Plant Operations team working collaboratively across teams to ensure Daiya’s quality standards are enforced and maintained at all stages of the manufacturing processes, through accurate data recording and analysis. The operations coordinator will work directly with engineering, line inspectors and floor personnel to gather, capture and interpret data to drive Daiya’s operations and growth. Key skills for this role are problem-solving, data capturing/analysis and a keen interest in working collaboratively to develop new processes and improve current ones.
Our Production Manager provides leadership to the management and supervision of the manufacturing processes, to ensure scheduled production levels are met for each shift and high-level sanitation is complete to meet Food Safety and QA standards. The Production Manager will work with the Senior Production Manager to research and implement processes that minimize costs and waste while maximizing the highest quality production outputs.
The Production Manager will ensure that the manufacture of products is carried out in accordance with internal and external standards and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and SQF requirements along with Work Safe BC standards.
The Production Safety Assistant is responsible for ensuring the daily temperature check of all staff is completed/recorded, make sure all staff are following COVID protocols, cleaning and sanitation of the production area, warehouse, production washrooms and employee lunchroom. Duties must be carried out in accordance with internal and external standards and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and SQF requirements along with Work Safe BC standards.
A Machine Operator play a key role in achieving business objectives by safely setting up and running assigned machine lines. Other responsibilities involve assisting with changeover of the packaging machines. Our Operators work as part of a team with changing responsibilities and ensure final products meet quality standards while minimizing waste.

The QA Technologist is responsible for day-to-day food safety and quality monitoring and verification activities at the manufacturing facility. Our R&D Technologist – Packaging leads and supports commercial development, innovation, and sustainability packaging projects. Utilizing deep expertise in packaging technology, a strong network within the packaging community, and a passion for innovative solutions, the R&D Technologist -Packaging is responsible for packaging development, commercialization, and optimization across a range of product lines, as well as the advancement of packaging capabilities within the organization. Collaborating closely with our cross-functional teams, this role translates consumer insights and product requirements into original and functional packaging solutions that differentiate our products and delight our consumers. This team member conducts all types of technical work including but not limited to: technology research, packaging concept refinement, material sourcing, prototype testing, experimental design and testing, data analysis, scale up testing, process optimizing, product lifecycle and integrity testing, and packaging commercialization. May be required to supervise and support other team members in delivering tasks.
