Daiya’s COVID-19 Response

To our valued consumers and customers,

Over the last several weeks, like you, Daiya Foods has been monitoring the recent increase in cases of COVID-19. During these uncertain times, the health and safety of our team members, their families and the community is of paramount concern. We realize that the prevention of transmission and exposure is the cornerstone of ensuring the health and safety of our team both at work and in their personal lives.

  • As of yesterday, Tuesday, March 17th, we implemented a work from home policy for all salaried employees in our head office to ensure we minimize the opportunity for spreading the virus.   We are taking steps to ensure our team can work from home effectively and only essential team members will come to the office.
  • Our production facilities will continue to be up and running but with extra safety measures and protocols. We will continue to provide you with the exceptional products and services that you have come to expect from Daiya. We are working hard to fulfill the increased demand caused by this situation as we strive to fulfill all orders.  We ask for your patience during this time, and our North American supply base will continue to strive to keep up with the demand for Daiya products.
  • The Daiya sales team has already implemented a work from home policy last week as most of our customer base have canceled meetings at this time.
  • We continue to monitor changes and updates from the Canadian, British Columbian and U.S. governments as well as the official global health authorities to ensure we are making decisions based on facts as things evolve at a rapidly moving pace.

These are challenging times for everyone, and we thank you for your continued support.

All that said, this situation is very fluid, and we will be monitoring all critical items and decisions daily.  The safety and health of our team and consumers, combined with our high standards of food quality, will guide our decision making as we navigate the turbulent times ahead.
